Welcome to the Grant County, New Mexico Active & Alive Program.
A&A is a free activity program started in 2005 with funding from the New Mexico Diabetes Prevention and Control Program.
A&A started with two walking groups in Grant County and two exercise groups in Hidalgo County and has expanded to include line dancing, laughter clubs and exercise groups in outlying areas such as Bayard and Mimbres. We thank Mary Ann Finn and our many volunteer instructor for all their loving work.
Other instructors have agreed to partner with us and provide sessions in yoga and tai chi.
A&A has sponsored special events such as hikes, the really small mini triathlon, and the downtown scavenger hunt.
A&A continues to look for new ways to entice people to have fun and bring activity into their lives.
Come join us and see what A&A is all about.
