Hospice Services:
Compassionate Comfort Care

Hospice Services has been a community-based, not-for-profit outreach program of Gila Regional Medical Center since 1991, providing compassionate comfort care to terminally ill patients and their families.

Our care goal is to ensure that at the end of life, people can maintain their dignity and self respect, live their final days pain-free, and receive high quality hospice services.

Keep your own health provider while Gila Regional Hospice supplies a  team of caregivers - including nurses, home health aides, chaplains, counselors, social workers, and volunteers - who provide medical, psychological and spiritual care to terminally ill people and their families. We care for our patients  wherever they are in Grant, Hidalgo and Luna counties.

Phone Gila Regional Hospice at (575) 574-4934 and a Registered Nurse can make a courtesy consult visit so you can obtain Hospice information.

Respite care is available to Gila Regional Hospice patients. Patients can be admitted to the hospital for up to 5 consecutive days once per month for the sole purpose of giving the primary caregiver a rest.

Gila Regional Hospice is Medicare certified and accredited by the Joint Commission, maintains membership in the National Hospice Organization, and conforms to the standards of the HIPAA Act of 1996.

Area Served

Gila Regional Medical Center Hospice Services' ability to provide quality service is limited by the expansiveness of rural New Mexico and the nature of our geography. We generally serve the Grant, Hidalgo and Luna county areas, but consider each case based upon the practicability of our being able to provide the full range of hospice services to our clients.
