Charles Kelly, Vice Chair, was appointed to the GRMC Board in January 2011. He is currently the owner of Sears Hometown Store of Silver City and is now serving as Mayor of Bayard. He was previously Mayor and city councilor of Bayard for many years prior to serving as Grant County Commissioner from 2002 - 2006. His formal education was obtained at Western New Mexico University and Dallas Institute of Funeral Services. His term expires December 31, 2013.

Pam Archibald, Secretary/Treasurer, was appointed to join the GRMC Board of Trustees in April 2010. She brings with her more than 30 years of banking experience and currently serves as Senior Vice President and manager of the Western Bank, Silver City Branch.

Pam is involved in her community and has served as Western New Mexico University Foundation President, Rotary International secretary, treasurer of United Way of Grant County, and a member of the GRMC Foundation board, to name a few.

Pam and her husband, Bill, are the owners of Finishing Touch Home Interiors. They have one son, Cory, and one grandson, Jaxon. Her term expires June 30, 2015.

Robert Morales, Sr. joined the board in July 2010 and brings a wide range of experience. Bobby served as Senate attendant in 2009 for Senator Howie Morales during the 49th NM Legislature. He has served for 25 years as the Jail and Prison Ministry coordinator for the Copper Vicariate Catholic churches in Grant County. He is certified to the fourth degree order of the Knights of Columbus.

Bobby is involved in his community and was named "1999 Citizen of the Year" by the Silver City - Grant County Chamber of Commerce. Bobby serves as the Student of the Month director and is a past district deputy director of LULAC. In 2000, he was selected as LULAC "Man of the Year" and National "Man of the Year". He has served as Vice President of the Arenas Valley Water Association and on the New Mexico Rural Water Board of directors for two years. For four years he served on the board of directors of Chino Federal Credit Union. He has coached Little League and has been involved in many programs that encourage area youth. His term expires June 30, 2013.

Darrick Nelson, M.D. is originally from a small mining town in Arizona and a U. S. Army Veteran. Dr. Nelson and his family moved to Silver City from Corpus Christi, Texas. Dr. Nelson obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.

Prior to joining HMS as Medical Director, Dr. Nelson was an assistant professor and core faculty member at Corpus Christi Family Practice Residency Program affiliated with Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Department of Family and Community Medicine where he was responsible for the training and supervision of residents in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital, intensive care unit, newborn nursery, labor and delivery, including c-sections, high risk obstetrics, nursing home and indigent care.

Dr. Nelson completed a fellowship in medical informatics and was the physician liaison for implementation of electronic clinical documentation system with CHRISTUS Spohn Shorline Hospital.

Dr. Nelson has competed internationally on the U.S. Modern Pentathlon Team. He served in the U.S. Army for six years in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

In 2005 he was awarded the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems excellence in applied informatics.

In 2005 and 2007 he was awarded the faculty physician of the year, Corpus Christi Family Practice Residency Program.

His term expires June 30, 2014.

Dr. Carreon has dedicated his career to providing a wide range of general orthopedic care to patients of all ages. He grew up in Silver City and graduated from Silver High School. After living in Arizona, Dr. Carreon moved back to New Mexico in 2003 and has brought his surgical expertise and a strong commitment to community oriented patient care to Southwest Bone and Joint Institute.

Dr. Carreon earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is the founder and current chair of the NMAA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee.

His term expires June 30, 2013.

Jeremiah Garcia has been a citizen of Silver City for the past 23 years. During this time he has been employed with Public Service Company of New Mexico, a Gas & Electric Utility Company. After 35 years of service Jeremiah retired from PNM, but has continued employment with New Mexico Gas Company as the Operations Manager. He has 38 years of service in the gas utility business. Jeremiah has been in management for over 25 years of his career and brings people skills, managing multi-million dollar budgets in O&M and Capital projects. His key priority is customer satisfaction, safety to the public, and administering compliance in state and federal regulations.

Jeremiah presently is the President of the Board for the Gila Economic Development Alliance, Advisory Board for Freeport- Mc MoRan Copper & Gold Inc., Advisory board of AmBank and the Advisory Board for the School of Business at WNMU. He also works with city and county governments to improve our communities in Grant County.

Jeremiah has served the community as President of the Silver City Lions Club (three times) receiving the prestigious award as a Melvin Jones recipient. He is a former board member of the Grant County Chamber of Commerce, and served as director of the Silver City Youth Basketball for 15 years helping the youth of Grant County.

Jeremiah attended Eastern New Mexico University and has been a member of the National Associations of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) for over 25 years.

Jeremiah is married to Joan Collins Garcia, principal at Stout Elementary in Silver City, New Mexico. His term expires June 30, 2015.
