Bringing Health Care Home
Caring for an ill or older loved one can be stressful. Many caregivers need extra support. That's why Gila Regional Medical Center's (GRMC) Home Care Services' experienced caregivers are available to help care for your loved one in comfort and privacy.
Our services reach residents throughout Luna, Grant, Hidalgo, and southern Catron counties -- even in the most remote locations.
"Our caregivers give your loved one personal attention and compassionate care to help ease your mind," says John M. Currien, R.N., Director of Home Health/Hospice Services at GRMC. "Those on Medicaid are now eligible for some home care services with a doctor's order," says Shannon Ojinaga-Contreras, Homemaker Coordinator in Silver City. The state has allocated funds for homemakers to visit any elderly or disabled person on Medicaid for bathing, light housekeeping, respite services, and meal preparation.
