The Coder will code all diagnosis and procedures after reviewing the entire medical record documentation.  The coder will utilize Official Coding Guidelines for accurate and complete coding.  This is an entry level position.

·         Associate Degree in Health Information Management or Related Field preferred

·         One of the following Credentials/Licenses are preferred: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P

·         Thorough knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding principles

·         Knowledge of MS-DRG/APC structure and regulatory requirements

·         Knowledge of Meditech and 3M Encoder Software

• Normally Monday through Friday 8:00a – 4:30 p.  Work requirements may also occur before or after usual working hours.
