Job summary: 

The House Supervising RN is a Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for ensuring the continuous and timely availability of Nursing/Clinical Care to patients.

                                S(he) is responsible for coordinating the Inpatient Clinical Care of our patients.

S(he) is responsible for the performance of safe, prudent, economical care during their shift. In  accordance with Nationally accepted standards of Nursing care and practice, as well as standards established by the JCHAO and other regulatory bodies.

The House Supervising RN is responsible to keep the Administrative call person informed of any critical issue during their shift.

S(he) is  responsible to support, teach and encourage all clinical caregivers.

S(he) is Clinically competent to deliver care, in support of the on-shift caregivers.

S(he) is Responsible to ensure that the care delivered is of best quality.

S(he) will keep the Department Directors informed of any issue that needs to be resolve.

S(he) participated with other caregivers as a team, to resolve any issue that arises.

S(he) actively participates in the Patient Safety Programs.

S(he) Problem Solves/Documents & Reports to the Patient Advocate and concerns/complaints from patients and or family members according to the Patient Complaint/Grievance  Policy.


 
 
Qualifications required: 

·         Current NM License with biannual renewal

·         BSN or Bachelors Degree in Health related field preferred.

·         Must posses the knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of Nursing Care and strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts, as well as knowledge of current leadership, management, and quality improvement concepts and the ability to participate in developing and implanting organizational strategies to address opportunities to improve the delivery of care to patients.

·         A minimum of 5 years previous hospital clinical experience preferred

·         A minimum of clinical competence in at least two nursing departments.

·         ACLS required

·         PALS required may be obtained within 1 year

·         Certification in a nursing are is encouraged

·         Must be cross trained to Critical Care area: Emergency Room, Special Care Unit.
