Job summary: The Clinical Coordinator is a Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for providing nursing care management, nursing supervision, and some administrative duties during the shift to which (s) he is on duty. The Clinical Coordinator provides direct nursing care, as needed and is responsible for the activities of the nursing staff under his/her supervision during the shift for which (s) he is on duty. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible to assure provision of safe, prudent, economical patient care according to his/her thorough knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures and his/her own skills and knowledge as a RN. (S) he will perform all duties in compliance with approved standards of care and practice as defined by Gila Regional Medical Center, the New Mexico Nursing Practice Act, and the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO). The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for Nursing Administration in the absence of the ED Director. (S) he may also function as ED administrative representative after usual office hours and on weekends when Director is unavailable. The Clinical Coordinator will be required to assist with 24 hour call coverage for the ED Department as well as Clinical Call Coverage.
Qualifications required:

Registered Nurse Licensure (New Mexico/Multi-State)

2 years Emergency Department experience.

Flexible for triage and acute ED setting patient care.

ACLS, PALS & ESI Index severity course required. ENPC preferred.

Prior supervisor/leadership experience preferred.
