COVID-19

In response to the current concerns over coronavirus (COVID-19) and the presidential declaration of emergency, Gila Regional Medical Center is enacting our emergency preparedness plan. We are dedicated to caring for all members of our community both sick and healthy. In order to reduce the risk of spreading and contracting of the COVID-19 virus, we have implemented several changes to our current operating policies.

If you believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and have mild symptoms, the CDC is recommending you stay at home, rest, drink lots of fluids and self-isolate. Treat minor symptoms with over the counter medications, as you would normally do with a cold or flu. If you feel you are having severe symptoms such as shortness of breath or chest pain with fever and think you may have been exposed to COVID -19, please notify staff immediately upon arrival to the Emergency Department.

Please only seek care if you truly need more supportive care than you are able to provide yourself at home.

If you think that you, or someone you know, may have coronavirus, check your symptoms on the CDC's self-checker.
