Outpatient Infusion: Designed With the Patients' Needs in Mind

Outpatient Infusion Therapy Services at Gila Regional offers a comfortable and convenient alternative to receiving infusion services as an inpatient or in the emergency room. Our treatment suite is designed for patients who require frequent infusions of medications, including those with central lines.

Patients both pediatric as well as adults receive their infusion in a comfortable recliner or hospital bed and may watch television, read or relax. Infusion services are provided by a staff of experienced registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy.

Services offered include:

  • Blood product transfusions
  • Intravenous antibiotics
  • Central line catheter care
  • Hydration therapy
  • Injection services
  • Remicade therapy
  • Iron
  • Electrolytes
  • Monoclonal Therapy
  • Rhogam Injection
  • Biophosphates
  • Out-patient PICC Line

We work with your primary physician to coordinate your care.

Where to find Infusion Services?

There is no need to go to Registration, go directly to Infusion Services. It is located inside GRMC next to Medical Records (Health Information Management) near the front of the hospital.

We suggest that patients park in the front parking lot.

  1. Enter through the main door (located under the canopy)
  2. When in the lobby turn left and watch for the Infusion signs that can be seen from the lobby.
  3. Follow these signs the short distance to our treatment suite.

Before you arrive at the Infusion Center

As a reminder, your physician's office should take the following steps before you arrive at the Infusion Center:

  • Infusion procedures should be scheduled by calling our staff; if this is not possible, a phone call from the office would be appreciated so that we can be ready when you arrive
  • Prior authorization is required for all medications/infusions
  • Physicians orders, including patient name, ICD-10 Code, physician/provider name and phone numbers must be faxed to 575-538-4896

Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance plans cover costs of care. We accept all patients regardless of ability to pay. For more information contact GRMC Financial Counselors through the Business office.
