About the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection (BCC) Program

The New Mexico Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection (BCC) Program provides age-appropriate accepted standard-of-care breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to eligible low-income women statewide.

The BBC is a cooperative effort of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, State of New Mexico, and your healthcare partner, Gila Regional Medical Center, to encourage screening for breast and cervical cancer. To be eligible for the BCC Program, a woman must meet the following age, insurance and income requirements:

  • Are 30 years or older
  • Have no health insurance
  • Have health insurance with deductibles and/or co-pays that are too high
  • Do not have Medicare Part B or full New Mexico Medicaid
  • Live at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.

For more information, download a brochure in English or Spanish.
