Shauna McCosh is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. After attending home births for many years, she went to nursing school in Oakland CA at Samuel Merritt College. She then worked as an Emergency Room and Hospice RN while pursuing her Masters in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University. She worked for Hidalgo Medical Services prior to opening her own primary care practice and Birth Center in Silver City. She is now also the Medical Director for GRMC’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners program and works part time for Hospice and in the ER. Over the years she has taught in the nursing program at WNMU and volunteered in health care in Mexico and Haiti.

She enjoys practicing yoga and has a small farm raising goats for milk and fiber.
